Wow....what a start.
Saturday VG hit the ground running to catch up to what God is doing in Indy through Shepherd's Community Center. A busy morning including a quick word from Rev. Jay Height, started with canvassing neighborhoods handing out fliers for the Sunday morning services at Shepherd's Community and the upcoming week of VBS and other events.
After a great lunch provided by our great cook staff it was off to downtown Indy for a scavenger hunt and some bike riding and paddle boat.....paddling. It was a great time of fellowship and bonding. Later in the evening as our Seniors enjoyed their special evening out at a dinner theatre performance of Peter Pan, VG enjoyed some time together watching The Chronicles of Narnia and intense games of Mafia.
Sunday found us leading worship at Shepherd's Community with about 300 people. What a blessing to praise God with some of the people we will be working with and ministering to. From there is was another great meal and then to downtown Indy for a concert at Indy Arts Garden. A beautiful setting in a mall that stretches across one of downtown's main roads.
God is working. We see it as we are broken before God and becoming empty vessels for His purposes. Continue to pray for us as we start our main ministry opportunities on Monday. May God be honored!
